Infrared Domes

  •  Domes need both high transmission as well as durability, sapphire is a excellent selection for its good mechanical properties and good transmission from UV to MWIR of 3-5 mirco, it is suitable for multi-spectral and high-speed applications. Hangzhou Shalom EO provide the aerospace and defense industry with critical infrared, multi-spectral, and visible domes, and the domes used in missile and reconnaissance & surveillance applications.
  •  Hot-pressed MgF2 domes for missiles and launch tubes is provided having high ultraviolet transmittance and high strength properties.it is mainly used as mid-infrared wave window material. It is used to produce mid-infrared wave vector dome. With high infrared transmittance, small thermal expansion coefficient, good mechanical property, and low preparation cost, it is the best material for mid-infrared wave vector dome.
  • Hot-pressed Polycrystalline Zinc Sulphide is a kind of infrared optical material with a wide transmittance range. It is prepared from high pure zinc sulphide raw material under vacuum and high temperature condition. It possesses good infrared transmission and thermal property and high impact overloading resistance. Since it can be directly pressed into large size plates and spherical windows with various curvature radiuses, it has been extensively used in the infrared detector windows with various sizes. Besides, this product is still a kind of good coating material.
  • Germanium domes is a special type of windows which is ideal for IR applications(especially for defense and aerospace application) with its broad transmission range and opacity in the visible portion of the spectrum. Germanium domes is commonly used in IR thermal imaging camears typically operating in the 2 µm to 14 µm spectral range, covers the LWIR (8-12μm) and MWIR (3-5μm) thermal imaging wavelength range. Germanium windows can be AR coated with Diamond (DLC coating or Hard carbon coating) producing an extremely tough front optic.
  •  Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) domes is an excellent choice for its broad wavelength range (3 µm to 16 µm), which covers MWIR and LWIR wavelength range. Zinc selienide is a chemically vapor diposited material commonly used in thermal imaging and medical systems. Zinc selenide (ZnSe) windows has a high index of refraction which normally requires an anti-reflection coating to achieve high transmission. Zinc selenide is relatively soft with low scratch resistance thus not recommended for use in harsh enviornment.
